"The very tasteful funky interior design, which complemented the nearly 600 year old building in a surprising way."

Historic Chambers & Suites
Altstadthotel Weisses Kreuz offers 48 rooms, including four 'super suites.' The 'Mozart Suite' features a pool table and historical significance, as Mozart once stayed here. The 'Golden Roof' suite overlooks the actual Golden Roof. The 'Super Patio' suite opens to a private courtyard. All rooms include Zillertal valley mattresses, organic cosmetics, smart TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and A/C. The 'Besenkammer' is a compact 13 m^2 option for minimalists.
Breakfast with Mountain Views
Breakfast is served on the 6th floor with views of Innsbruck and the surrounding mountains. Ingredients include eggs from free-range hens, ham from local farmer Manuel, and honey from Markus. Coffee is prepared by a barista, with options like cappuccino, latte macchiato, or espresso. The breakfast buffet runs from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Loft Bar & Local Flavors
The Blaue Brigitte loft bar on the 6th floor serves regional drinks, including Tirol Kola instead of Coca-Cola. Guests can enjoy small snacks with evening drinks. The bar doubles as the check-in point, with no traditional reception desk.
Central Innsbruck Location
The hotel is in Innsbruck's pedestrian zone, 100 meters from the Golden Roof. The old town is car-free except for loading between 6:00 and 10:30 a.m. The train station is a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute public transport ride. The airport is 15 minutes away via Bus Line F. Nearby landmarks include the Court Church (300 m) and the Grassmayr Bell Museum (1.5 km).
Sustainability & Local Partnerships
The Span family prioritizes high-quality, additive-free products. Guests can borrow a Land Rover Defender for free. The hotel sources ingredients from nearby farmers, including yoghurt from the Seeber family. Baby cribs are available at no extra cost. Check-in starts at 3:00 p.m., with late check-out available upon request.
“This hotel strikes a compelling balance between its historical foundations and modern aesthetics. I'm particularly drawn to the rooftop bar, which pairs regional delicacies with impressive mountain views. Breakfast receives special attention here, emphasizing local and organic ingredients, promising a fresh start to the day.”
